Lāwaṇī (Lavni) Workshop

Lāwaṇī (Lavni) ist ein traditioneller Volkstanz in Maharashtra, Indien. Es leitet sich von dem Wort "Lāwaṇya" ab, was anmutig bedeutet.

Während der Aufführung baut der Tänzer eine direkte Verbindung mit dem Publikum auf.

Der Workshop beleuchtet einige Aspekte des Tanzes und beinhaltet sowohl körperliches Training als auch die Technik der Publikumsinteraktion.

- Einführung in die Lāwaṇī-Tradition

- Warm-Up

- Einführung in die Tanzelemente des Lāwaṇī

- Eine Lāwaṇi-Choreographie

Teilnehmer*innen: max. 15 Teilnehmenden, sowohl für Tänzer*innen als auch nicht-Tänzer*innen geeignet!

Lāwaṇī (Lavni) is traditional folk dance in Maharashtra, India. It derives from the word Lāwaṇya which means graceful.

While performing the dancer builds a direct connection with the audience.

The workshop introduces some aspects of the dance, it contains physical training as well as building a connection with the audience.

- Introduction to the Lāwaṇī tradition

- Warm-up

- Introduction to the dance elements of Lāwaṇī

- A Lāwaṇī choreography

Participants: max. 15 Participants, dancers and non-dancers welcome!
